Certificates & The Hague Apostille Convention
HDA’s students can get the following certificates:
These are Continuing Education certificates from a private education centre and are to be downloaded directly by the student after completing successfully the required activities. The certificates will be digitally signed and recorded in a public database for online verification purposes.
The Hague Apostille Convention for notarial acts is an international treaty drafted by the Hague Conference on Private International Law. It specifies the modalities through which a document issued in one of the signatory countries can be certified for legal purposes in all the other signatory states.
A fee will be charged if the interested party requests a signature notarized and apostilled hard copy of the course certificate. The fee depends on the destination country and the shipping service chosen:
- National postal service in Colombia: Us $80
- North, Center and South America: Us $120
- Eurpo, Asia, Africa and Australia: Us $150
Fees include service bureau, postage and the apostille itself.
The convention is in force for all members of the European Union and all but 10 members of the Hague Conference on Private International Law, including USA. Review here State parties.
